PAPA DOO RUN RUN – MORE THAN JUST A TRIBUTE TO THE BEACH BOYS!

What sets PAPA DOO RUN RUN apart from other "Beach Party Themed Tribute Acts"?
(1) In addition to being entertaining, they are incredibly punctual.
(2) They play songs people want to hear and can sing along to, and they do them dead on.
(3) Every note and lyric is delivered live, without any pre-recorded tracks.
(4) With over five decades and countless performances under their belts, the band is TIGHT!
(5) They are OLD, I mean, SEASONED veterans who learned the songs they perform while
those tunes were still topping the charts.

PAPA DOO RUN RUN’s journey began on December 22, 1965, at a Frat Party gig at San Jose State, reminiscent of a scene from “Animal House”.  Their compensation? All the beer they could drink, a prized reward for a bunch of teenage musicians from the yet-to-be Silicon Valley.  Since then, they've done thousands of shows, recorded 10 albums, two of which earned  Gold Records, and received a Grammy nomination.  They held the extreme title of “Celebrity House Band” at Disneyland, where they performed for 15 years (1975-90).  All of the Papa Doo guys have performed with the Beach Boys at various points in their careers, with one even serving as the BB’s falsetto voice for nearly two decades. Prior to that, he lent his talents to Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons. FYI - They no longer play for free beer.  😉

Today, PAPA DOO's performances continue to captivate audiences across the globe, from fairs and festivals to corporate events and concert venues. They've become the benchmark for "Tribute Bands", setting a standard that others can only aspire to.  And let's not forget their impeccable punctuality, which remains unmatched. Among their most recent accolades, PAPA received the esteemed honor of being inducted into the Northern California/Silicon Valley Rock & Roll Hall of Fame!
