Linwood Peel's Stars from The Drifters

The Drifters are regarded as one of early Rock and Roll's super groups and charted with megahits like Under the Boardwalk, On Broadway, Save the Last Dance for Me, Up On The Roof, and This Magic Moment.

Rolling Stone Magazine ranks the Drifters number 81 on their 100 greatest artists of all time. The Drifters have been inducted into both The Rock and Roll and the Vocal Group Halls of Fame and over the years have been fronted by memorable singers such as Clyde McPhatter, Ben E. King and Bill Pinkney. The current Stars from The Drifters lineup is led by legendary longtime lead vocalist of Elsbeary Hobbs' Drifters, Linwood Peel. Peel is regarded as one of the best live performers in the group's history.

Linwood Peel brings his Stars from The Drifters to venues around the country. From the mid 1990's to 2007, Peel was the lead singer for both The Drifters and Elsbeary Hobb's Drifters. At that time he formed his own group. His sound is magically like those wonderful songs that have made the group famous, plus wonderful covers of groups like the Platters, Coasters, and, others from that era will be heard in this fabulous show!
