Do you love all those light and easy favorites from the 70s and 80s?  If you do, then you’d really enjoy Shag! Shag plays all those great songs that you forgot you knew and were almost too embarrassed to admit you liked.  You’ll hear an array of songs from easy listening (Rainy Days and Mondays, Muskrat Love) to “sleazy listening” (Afternoon Delight, Midnight at the Oasis).

Shag features Rob Fletcher on guitar, chromatic harmonica, and vocals, along with Laura Herbert on the electric bass and vocals.  Rob and Laura are known for their vocal harmonies, as well as their infectious sense of light-heartedness and fun.  Shag also highlights guests members on keyboards and drums for certain performances/shows. Without a doubt, Shag is just the right blend of smooth, easy listening enjoyment and upbeat, make-you-smile entertainment. Shag has performed at nightclubs, restaurants, festivals, weddings and private parties throughout New England.

Rob Fletcher is an exceptional singer, harmonica player and guitarist who has performed with Trey Anastasio of Phish as well as blues great Ronnie Earl. He played at Woodstock 94, the International Festival of Arts and Ideas and opened for the Crash Test Dummies. Rob is the author of several music instructional books including Blues Grooves for Guitarists and Blues Harmonica for Beginners. He is also the founder of Quixote Consulting where he combines music and team building for corporate groups.

Laura Herbert sings and plays the electric bass. Laura has performed with the award-winning comedian Sinbad and has been interviewed by BBC Mundo and AOL News for her acclaimed work as a musical performer. Laura is also a female Elvis impersonator and has studied music and education at SUNY New Paltz.
