15 years as a DJ/Producer in Brooklyn NYC. I believe myself to have more experience than most other djs because I held a 50 week residency in a 80s night club playing 7 hours every Saturday. This gives me the edge over other djs who have been in the business 25 years because most djs do 1 to 3 hour sets every other week or so. My total amount of hours are much greater. Also mixing 80s music is much harder than doing edm and house as you can't just match the beats on the laptop screen. Also 80s music has many genres inside of it with a vast amount of BPM changes. Mixing house you only have to worry about 120 to 128 bpm for example. My sets, I am a master story teller. I perform a set as a whole entity to tell a story, it is not simple as playing hits back to back. I also tend to blend almost every transition and not only switch songs.
