Contemporary Traditional Irish & Folk Music
Gallowglass is a lively four-piece band from Bellingham, WA. We play reels, jigs, and songs rooted in the Irish tradition with a tinge of Americana sensibilities. You might also hear the odd Québécois fiddle tune, a stray Scottish tune, or possibly a Baltic sounding one from France or a Swedish waltz. Mostly we play lots of solid and fantastic traditional Irish tunes, sing some great songs, and the instrumentation is consistent: Irish bouzouki, mandolin, fiddle, harmonica, bodhran, and vocals.
Music to dance to, and music to make you joyfully weep.
