Lady A has been a Pacific NW favorite for 20+ year in the business. Nationally and Internationally known, Lady A, has a high energy show has been compared to the likes of "Tina Turner" and "Chaka Khan" ~ a smile that easily draws the audience in with her sultry-husky voice and contemporary blues-funk style and like a Good pot-a-Gumbo, Lady A is best served HOT!
Lady A just returned from her (2) month long tour with: The American Ladies in Sweden/Denmark and finished up with the European Chicago Blues Tour of France, Czech Republic, Denmark & Belgium. Oct 16th thru Dec. 12th. Not your typical blues vocalist; Lady A is sharing a message of love, encouragement, storytelling and FUN in her shows.
Lady A's release of her 2023 Album project “Just Bein Me” further stretches her musical taste like a good gumbo which is eclectic and diverse. A mix of Blues, Soul, Funk and Gospel roots with a taste of Blues/Rock for flavor to capture her Seattle upbringing through music.
Nominated for 2022 Washington Blues Society Best in Blues Performer of the Year, Best Blues Album ( Satisfyin') and Best Blues Vocalist; Voted 2020 and 2021 Female Blues Performer of the Year by the Washington Blues Society (WBS); Nominated by the Soul Cafe Awards 2021 as Best Female Blues Performer of the Year.
Lady A has opened for such artist as Bobby Rush, Dexter Allen, Shemekia Copeland, (the late) Denise LaSalle, Little Milton and Michael Burks; been on stage with Kenny Neal, Chubby Carrier, Christone “Kingfish” Ingram; Sugaray Rayford and more….
As well as a Touring Artist, Producer, Vocalist, Community Activist, Storyteller and Songwriter, Lady A brings musicians to the Seattle area under Lady A Productions for live performances in Blues and Gospel that raises funds for Homelessness and Shelters in the Seattle area. She also has serves as MC of the Winthrop Rhythm & Blues Festival All-Star Jam and a part of the Methow Valley Juke Joint All-Stars band 9 years running. A Host radio personality on True Grit Roots Network (TGRN) with Lady A's Gumbo N Gospel on Sunday mornings and Lady A's Black N Blues (the B side) on Tuesday evenings.
