Rob Lowe began playing the piano at age 7 and singing "Take Me Out to the Ball Game" for the Cincinnati Reds at Crosley Field by the age of 8. In Junior High, Rob picked up the trumpet and by age 17 began touring with famed trumpeter Maynard Ferguson. While touring with Maynard, Lowe had the distinct pleasure and opportunity to play with such greats as The Duke Ellington Big Band, Wild Bill Davis, Dizzy Gillespie and Dave Brubeck. Rob also toured the United States singing and playing in a variety of venues. Currently, Rob Lowe, is co owner of the talent booking agency, Casting New Lives, along with his partner, Brinka Rauh.

Rob is available as a singer/pianist for most any venue. His genre is a full spectrum range from the Great American Songbook. Rob can also do a fabulous acoustic tribute to Barry Manilow, including amusing anecdotes. If no piano is available for your event, Rob can bring his digital Yamaha piano.

A few of Rob's favorite artists are: Rodgers and Hammerstein, Mel Torme, Jack Jones, Frank Sinatra, Rosemary Clooney, and Barry Manilow.

If one would have to categorize Rob's style of music it would best described as cabaret, jazz and classic Broadway show tunes.
