Santa Pappou has been married to Mrs. Claus for 38 years. He has four children and five grandchildren who are the “twinkle in his eye.” Two of his grandchildren live overseas in a Greek-speaking country, so that’s how he came to be known as “Pappou”, which is Greek for grandfather.

Mrs. Claus knows the way to Santa’s heart is cookies—especially snickerdoodles! She’s been known to leverage her “Santa-do list” with his favorite cookies. Over the years, Santa Pappou has gained important experience under his big black belt. He’s learned to be patient with children and allow them time to warm up to the idea of talking with him. Santa Pappou encourages parents to take their time getting up to Santa. He says it helps if parents talk about how nice Santa is and point out that other children aren’t scared of Santa. A high five may help the child to feel comfortable. If all else fails, Santa Pappou will “photo bomb” from behind without all the drama.
