✨Chikushin Shakuhachi is a premier traditional Japanese music act based in the vibrant Los Angeles metropolitan area. Fronted by skilled craftsman and musician Shawn Schroeder—who has dedicated decades to studying under recognized Japanese masters both locally and overseas—the act brings authentic, historical interpretations of traditional bamboo flute music to audiences across Southern California and beyond.

The performance features the rich, organic tones of hand-crafted jiari and jinashi shakuhachi flutes, built using traditional methods acquired directly from master craftsmen in Japan. Each piece performed reflects rigorous training lineages and a deep commitment to preserving the historical integrity of Japanese classical and meditative flute repertoire.

Whether performing at cultural festivals, corporate functions, private gatherings, or concert venues, Chikushin Shakuhachi provides a distinct auditory experience rooted in centuries of Japanese heritage. The minimalist yet powerful acoustic presence of the bamboo flute creates a focused atmosphere tailored for audiences seeking genuine traditional arts.
