We thoroughly enjoyed the trio! Beautiful music and delightful people. With the rain we ended up with the wedding ceremony inside, which actually made it very intimate and special. As soon as it was done, the skies parted and everyone was able to enjoy the evening inside and outside the Skansonia. The music was a vital part of making it so special.
Thank you again!, Diana
I wanted to thank you for a fabulous wedding ceremony & cocktail hour for Celia & Paul at the Tacoma, Museum of Glass.
Melissa, I appreciate all the time you took with wedding couple in pulling together their details. Even when you were on vacation in Ireland, you were still taking care Of all bridal concerns.
Seattle String Quartet will always be on the top of my refer list as amazing Harpist & String Players.
Melissa, it was an honor to work with you and your great team. I hope to work with you again very soon.
Sincerely, Debbie Ruby Red Shoes Weddings & Events
As a former violin player, I really wanted to have a violin-cello duo for our wedding and I had some very particular song choices in mind. I spent hours listening to samples from different string groups around the Puget Sound, and we ended up hiring the Seattle String Duo due to a combination of fair, straightforward pricing and their sound samples sounded the best (in tune, the right tempo, etc.). Even though their pricing changed between my initial inquiry and when I formally hired them, they were so kind as to honor the initial estimate.
I worked with Elaine and Jan ahead of time on logistics and song selections and they were very friendly and willing to accommodate, without an extra charge, the specific selections I had in mind, even though it wasn't listed as part of their normal repertoire. Elaine gave me the best advice too-- to make sure to wait a few seconds before making my grand entrance as the bride. :-)
Day of, Barb and Jim played our ceremony and cocktail hour and they were absolutely amazing. Their years of professional experience shone through as they played selections ranging from classical to pop/rock to Disney (our genre choices), which contributed to an elegant atmosphere to our ceremony and cocktail hour.
If you're looking for a string group, don't do what I did and waste a lot of time listening to endless sound samples-- just hire the Seattle String Quartet!

I wanted to thank the quartet for their lovely work on my wedding day. With all the running around, I did not get to appreciate them as much as I would have liked, but their playing of Dawn and the rest of the ceremony set was amazing. I had to keep from crying in the back room while they played and things got started.
One of my photographers heard the music from Anne of Green Gables and said he almost cried from hearing that, hehehe. He's never heard it at a wedding, and I'm jealous that I was still being secreted away at that point.
Please let the players know how much their playing meant to me and I hope that I can one day hire them just for the joy of getting to hear everything :)
Thank you!!
Courtney, Arctic Club, Seattle
I just wanted you to know how fabulous the musicians were and everyone had a fabulous time.
The wedding couple even asked for extra time because all the Older folks kept dancing... even the Tango!
Who would of ever guessed?? Big hug to you for a fabulous team of professional players!!
Thank you for all you did to help us!!
