The Cheap Shots
The Cheap Shots is a four piece part-rock-show, part-dance-party cover band that has played all major festivals and music events in and around southeast Wisconsin and into Illinois (the lead singer was born and raised in Chicago) for more than 13 years. They also occasionally play with a three-piece horns section (trumpet, trombone, sax) that is available per request and adds a big punch to their performance!
In 2019, The Cheap Shots took honors with the annual Shepherd Express “Best of Milwaukee” vote as the live music category’s only triple finalists:
“Best Vocalist” - 1st Runner Up
“Best Guitarist” - Finalist (top 4)
“Best Cover Band” - Finalist (top 4)
They are again nominated for "Best Cover Band," "Best Rock Band," and "Best Male Vocalist."
The Cheap Shots uses wireless instruments for maximum audience participation. They have one of the most diverse set lists among all cover bands (they like to say “from Rush to Usher”) so EVERYONE will enjoy the show. Typically, The Cheap Shots plays for 3.5 hours straight through with no break to make sure people keep partying and buying drinks. They are always high-energy and entertaining on stage, and for the price this band brings great value. The Cheap Shots also brings its full festival-sized production team for the best possible sound and lighting experience, guaranteeing a real rock show!
