Based in Chicago IL
Tropicante specializes in performing upbeat Latin music from many Latin countries all around the United States. From cumbia to rumba flamenca, from pop classics to merengue, Tropicante offers something for all ages and cultures. The minimum size is a quartet (congas, drums, bass, guitar, vocals). If specific styles are desired, such as a heavier mix of salsa or merengue, or more instrumental pieces as opposed to vocal pieces, additional musicians are added as needed, such as a keyboard player and trumpet players. We work with our hosts to fit their event as much as possible.
