✶We are Captain Fiddle, an award-winning acoustic duo bringing high-energy live music from the greater Boston metropolitan area to stages, venues, and backyards everywhere. As a father-and-son multi-instrumentalist act, we have logged decades of combined experience touring internationally and sharing our love for traditional music. When we pull up to your event, we bring a massive lineup of instruments—swapping off between twin fiddles, banjos, accordions, acoustic guitars, and pennywhistles—to keep the room moving from start to finish.

Our sets draw heavily from traditional Celtic, bluegrass, old-time, and Cajun roots music. We don't just stand behind a couple of microphones and run through a fixed song list. We interact with the crowd, break down the history behind the tunes, and get people involved right away. If you want to turn up the energy, we even teach line steps, Cajun dancing, and call square or contra dances so guests of all ages can get up off their feet and join the action.
