Jazz Daddies
The Jazz Daddies are a Jazz ensemble based in Austin, Texas. Formed in 2012, we play upbeat and fun Jazz that spans the range of the genre from standards and swing to bebop, blues, and funk. We play all over Central and South Texas.
Recorded in Austin at Wire Recording, our latest CD, Moontower Nights, features 10 original Jazz tunes. The music is guitar driven and was composed by band leader and guitarist Randy Larkin. Contributing artists on the CD include Jazz Daddies Marty Mitchell on bass, Kenny Felton on drums, Andrew Malay playing sax, Shane PItsch on trumpet and Gary Feist on bass.
We have experience and success playing corporate functions, weddings, wineries, restaurants, breweries, private parties, and at country clubs (Twin Creeks CC in Cedar Park, TX, Wildflower CC in Temple, TX, Great Hills CC, Lost Creek CC, Onion Creek CC in Austin, TX and Sonterra CC in San Antonio. TX). We also play for many corporate functions. Our corporate clients include A. T. Kearney Consulting, Best Place to Work, Texas A&M, Johnson and Johnson, BankCard, Cisco Systems, the University of Texas Co-op, CareFirst Blue Cross Blue Shield, the Society for Marketing Professional Services, IEEE, Independence Title, Wildlife Rescue of San Antonio, American Financial Services Assn., the Jarrell Chamber of Commerce, Quantum, Cintra, and more.
The Jazz Daddies frequently perform at festivals in Texas. In 2021 the band headlines on the main stage at the Round Rock Chalk Art Walk Festival at the Dell Diamond in Round Rock, Texas.
